BAME Training
Any truly socialist movement must have the values of anti-racism, anti-imperialism and internationalism at its core, and Momentum is committed to just that. But it must also be representative of its members, including the estimated 90,000 BAME members in our party.
That’s why, following Black History Month, we have launched a new campaign where – over the next 12 months – we’ll support and train 250 young BAME Momentum members from across the country. We want to help them to stand for positions of power in local communities, within Momentum, the Labour Party, local councils, and even in parliament.
We will be coordinating trainings across the country for young BAME people and will be launching in parliament with Clive Lewis MP in February.
