Momentum Convention 2024. Your movement, your choice. Sunday 10th March. https://mtm.is/convention

Last updated 06/05/2025

Maintaining the two-child benefit cap, cutting Winter Fuel Payments and slashing public spending – it’s clear Starmer and Reeves are continuing Tory austerity.

This year’s National Policy Forum provides an opportunity for CLPs, trade unions and socialist societies to make interventions and promote bold, socialist policies.

Policy Commissions

The National Policy Forum is made up of six Policy Commissions, each responsible for a different area of policy. They include:

  • Kickstart economic growth
  • Make Britain a clean energy superpower
  • Break down barriers to opportunity
  • Build an NHS fit for the future
  • Safer streets
  • Britain reconnected

The six commissions have released consultation papers each consisting of questions to which we have from now until the 8th June to respond. Momentum has produced suggested responses  to each of the commissions to take to your next CLP meeting. The proposals in this document are only suggestions and are based on policies Momentum have supported in the past, including at our Members’ Convention in 2024, recommended submissions to the NPF in 2023 and recommended motions.

Deadline

The deadline to submit is Sunday 8th June.

N.B. CLPs can submit as much as a response to every question from every commission, or just one question from one commission.
